COMPONENTS / AVE SERVERS / SERVERS DESCRIPTION

AVE SERVERS

AVE Central Server

The whole AVE system relies on this one key part, AVE Central Server. This server manages all master data and verification of user connections (connections by AVE Client as well as users connecting via Internet AVE or the machine-machine interface). This server is key to all other servers, which are required to register and connect to it.

AVE Central Server key properties
Master data administration
User verification
Registering and directing all other servers
Operating and commanding of Device Driver Servers
Checking and launching of data-reading at the specified time
System-time synchronization (all servers)
AVE Data Storage Server

AVE Data Storage Server plays the second key role necessary for running the AVE system. This server manages technological data of one region (distribution company). In a situation where reading of data from multiple distribution companies is required, a Storage Server must be running and configured for each location.

Ave Data Storage Server key properties
Storing and administrating of technological data
Accounts of hourly, daily and monthly data

AVE Device Driver Server

Device Driver Server is designed for remote data reading from devices. This server receives directions from the Central Server for reading devices. Directions are passed on to native drivers, which read the data. The data is decoded, validated and sent to the Central Server for storage. At present, native drivers for Elgas, Elster and Solatron devices are managed by AVE Device Driver Server. It´s possible to launch more than one AVE Device Driver Server for reading data for one distribution company or several companies can share one AVE Device Driver Server.

Ave Device Driver Server key properties
Receiving and executing of read-requests
Native driver management
Source data decoding
Source data validating

AVE CisInterface Server

The CisInterface Server provides an interface for exchanging data with the Customer Information System. Currently the SAP ISu Customer Interface System is supported. This interface is based on two-way communication, so it facilitates reading of data from SAP ISu as well as sending data from AVE 2 to SAP ISu. The interface is fully-automatic and data exchange is always initiated by the CIS.

AVE CisInterface Server key properties
Import of master data from SAP ISu (gas service points + dealers)
Automatic changes of dealers
Automatic take-off termination
Export of hourly data to SAP ISu

AVE Data Mining Server + AVE Data Pump Server

Data Mining Server is designed to make data available to surrounding servers - Internet AVE Server and Data Pump Server. Data Pump Server is hosted by AVE Data Mining Server.

AVE Data Mining Server key properties
Makes data available to Internet AVE Server
Makes data available to Data Mining Server
Data Pump Server hosting

Internet AVE Server

Internet AVE Server delivers data to end users via web browser (Internet Explorer 9.0 is recommended). Data is in the form of hourly and daily values. Data can be exported to XLS or CSV. Internet AVE Server provides a universal machine - machine interface for getting data from AVE via the web-service technology.

Internet AVE Server key properties
Delivering data to end users via web browser
Data export to XLS or CSV
Link to web service interface for automatic data acquisition
