CONFIGURATION

Ave system is configuration able according to individual customer´s occasions. It is possibly configuration able like complex solution with separated servers installed on several stand-alone machines and stand-alone client part or like one-machine system.
In the case of requests for minimal installation, whole system can works on one powerful machine. Free MS SQL Express can be used as data storage. This is recommended only for data-reading from tens of devices without necessity of permanent availability.

For huge solution with emphasis on system availability or at least availability of crucial parts and in case of data-reading of thousands of devices or more it is recommended to separate each server part to stand-alone powerful machines. This solution has many advantages:
Central part of system runs in balance mode

Central part can be launched on several machines. Incoming requests are divided out to servers in order to serve these requests as fastest as it can be done.

Stress allocation

Subsystem for automatic data-reading can be run on n-servers, which can essentially shorten time for getting these data.

Servers substitutability

In the case of Device Driver Server failure, it is possible to redirect data-reading to another Device Driver Server via AVE Client. Redirect can be done for all consumption places in automatic mode without necessity of human power.

Launching critical system parts in cluster configuration

It is recommended to install critical system parts with emphasis on system availability to cluster system. In the case of one node failure or termination, automatic launching of system from second cluster´s node will start immediately.

Server-server communication and server to client application communication is based on TCP/IP protocol. Data exchange is realized by two ports, which are configurable (config-files) for each subsystem.

System installation required installation of Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (all system parts). AVE can be installed via XCopy method or by the help of install wizard. AVE Client updating is fully automatic. Update module is integrated in system.

Each part of AVE 2 requires supported operating system. List of supported operating systems for each part can be found here.

Minimal software requirements for each system parts can be found in following tab. In the case of installation more than one part of system on one machine it is necessary to fill all required software of all parts.
